Each of the 12 Western states and territories that support PSEP participation has distinct healthcare fields eligible for the program, terms of eligibility, and a designated liaison to contact with questions. Refer to the table below to view state /territory PSEP application details.

Alaska
Fields Supported:
Dentistry, Occupational Therapy, Optometry, Pharmacy, Physician Assistant, Physical Therapy, Podiatry
Special Terms:
The Alaska Commission on Postsecondary Education administers PSEP as a loan program funded by the Alaska Student Loan Corporation (ASLC). Because the PSEP support is not a grant, Alaska students must repay 100% of their PSEP funds upon program completion. Payback through service is not accepted as reimbursement.

Support for Veterinary Medicine was discontinued in 2021 but was reinstated in 2023 Nevada legislative session. Currently all four slots for Nevada Veterinary Medicine have been filled and there are no new slots available.
