Northern Arizona University
With the WRGP program, graduate school funding is available for certain out-of-state students to earn their degrees at the cost of in-state tuition. Northern Arizona University, with a main campus in Flagstaff, Arizona, is a public, high-research activity institution, offering 74 master's degrees, 21 doctoral degrees, and 40 graduate certificate programs. With a Fall 2023 enrollment of 28,194, NAU hosts 5,060 graduate students spread across the Flagstaff and Phoenix Bioscience Core campuses, more than 20 sites across the state, and online. NAU conducts significant research in land management and climate sciences, microbiology, astronomy and planetary science, and health sciences. NAU was rated No. 170 in the National Science Foundation’s fiscal year 2022 national research ranking of public universities without a medical school, and No. 187 overall.
