Colorado State University

CSU was founded as the Colorado Agricultural College in 1870, six years before the Colorado Territory was granted statehood, and it was one of 68 land-grant colleges established by President Abraham Lincoln’s signing of the Morrill Act. CSU upholds its mission of providing high-quality, affordable higher education to all who have the desire and ability to achieve it. There are eight colleges focused on agricultural science, business, engineering, health and human sciences, liberal arts, natural sciences, natural resources, and veterinary medicine and biomedical sciences. According to the 2019 U.S. News and World Report, 22 CSU graduate programs rank in the top 100 across the country. CSU is the first university in the world to receive the STARS Platinum rating for sustainability twice. CSU’s hometown of Ft. Collins is ranked as one of “America’s Most Innovative Tech Hubs” and as America’s most bike-friendly city.
